   Ok, lemme introduce oursevles ...

My name is Youri Podchosov, and my wife's name is Olga Poddubnaya ( yes, we have different last names, but it's OK ;-). We live in our small but very cozy house in the beautiful Bay Ridge area in Brooklyn, NY. And of course we're glad to meet you here at our place - be home!

As you probably guessed already, we're not Americans by birth: I'm Russian, and Olga is Ukrainian, we both were born in Ukraine and lived in Kharkov before we came to New York in 1992. Here you'll find more links related to our native country and city.

My daughter Julia (she's 18 now) as well as Olga's parents still live in Ukraine. Because of ... ummm ... let's say quirks ... of the US immigration law, it's still not clear when they'll be able to join us here, and whether it's going to happen at all.

Olga works for Sonic Trading: as an Oracle DB Designer. I'm currently with Citigroup, in the position of Senior Technology Analyst. For those who's interested, both Olga and I maintain Web pages with our resumes (which may be not terribly up to date, but still give the right impression): just follow the directions in the Site Navigator sidebar.

On September, 27, 2003 our family became three: our daughter Alyona (Ally) joined us in this sometimes exciting and sometimes boring voyage through the vast land called "life".

Well, what else? Our primary hobby is traveling, and although it so happened that we didn't have a lot of vacation time on our hands, we managed to discover for ourselves quite a few of nice, beautiful and simply awesome places here in US. Maybe some day I'm going to create a big gallery of pictures we've taken while going all those places, but so far I've only got these photos we brought with us from our trips to Grand Canyon in the summer of '96, to Hawaii in the summer of '01 and to Paris in the spring of '02.
